What's coming next?

Hey there,

I don't usually do devlogs or any sorts of updates on my creations, but I'm seeing many people coming to the site, seeing it's not finished and leaving, some of them even thinking I'll never update the game. I'm still interested in finishing the game, don't you worry. I just took a post-release break, because I was feeling very lazy. Here's a brief roadmap for the next few days:

  • I want to make the game open-source on a Git platform. I want any of you to be able to work with the game, optimize it, use for your own stuff, etc. And I'm also doing this because I want to participate in the Zed Hanok's Open-source Game Jam 1, which ends its submission period on Monday (in my timezone).
  • I want to move the game to a different runtime, optimize the models, fix the disappearing lights, tweak the game's render path and performance and also add the collission, because not having it is very immersion breaking.

These are the most important things for me right now, you can read up on the later goals on the game's site.

Also, I want to mention that I'm not a programmer, in that I don't code anything too complicated and my optimization skills are very limited, so this may take a while. Thankfully though I'm getting a lot of help from the Armory 3D Discord channel, which is honestly the first place to look, when you have a problem with Armory.

Thank you for your support for the game, you all have been amazing. The game is currently on more than 25 downloads, which is much more than I expected going into this.

With love,

Duke
